Minutes before taking to the stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend event in Stockwood Park, England, Chris Martin made a gesture of solidarity that is spreading around the world. The Coldplay singer noticed a fan who was having trouble walking due to arthritis, so he stopped his car and decided to give her a lift to the concert.
The situation was reported by the fan herself, Saundra Glenn, on the social network X, formerly Twitter, with the following text: “That moment when Chris Martin saw me struggling to walk, stopped the car and gave me a lift. I can’t believe this happened”.
To the BBC, Saundra explained that she was taken in the same car as the singer to the artists’ area and, when she got out of the vehicle, Chris Martin asked a member of the team to make sure that the fan arrived safely at her destination.
