He announced that Iran and Oman have agreed on a navigation mechanism for the Strait of Hormuz under Article Five of the memorandum and will not allow United States interference there. Ghalibaf emphasized Iran’s compliance, including temporary facilitation of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, is conditional on the release of frozen assets and cessation of hostilities, and called for implementation of Lebanon-related provisions to prevent internal strife.
