Double-Decker Bus Loses Roof After Crashing Into Bridge

A double-decker bus crashed into a railway bridge in East Ayrshire, Scotland, and lost its roof.

Eight people were taken to hospital following the accident, but according to local police, cited by British newspaper The Standard, no one was seriously injured.

A 34-year-old man is being investigated for possible blame for the accident after committing a traffic offence.

Network Rail, the company that owns and manages the infrastructure of most of the UK’s rail network, said that the bridge had been inspected by specialist engineers and that no damage had been caused.

ScotRail, the company responsible for rail services in Scotland, assured that there was no impact on road services.
