Donald Trump had the opportunity to meet Prince William on December 6, as part of the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

As the president-elect of the United States revealed, the two had a “beautiful” conversation, however, Trump will certainly not have shared with the Prince of Wales the memories he has of Princess Diana.

That’s because in the ’90s Trump reportedly had a crush on William and Harry’s mother.

The story was told by Selina Scott, with whom Diana was friends, and became popular when Trump was elected president.

“He bombarded Kensington Palace with giant bouquets of flowers, each worth hundreds of pounds,” Scott wrote in 2015 for the Sunday Times.

“Trump clearly saw Diana as a trophy woman,” he said.

When Diana was asked about Trump at the time, she responded, “He gives me the creeps.” These flowers went straight to the trash.

When the story was released, Trump denied having had a ‘crush’ on the princess. “I met her in New York once in line, we shook hands and that was the only time I saw her. I read this story that I was throwing myself at her and it’s completely false,” Trump said.

However, in previous interviews with Howard Stern, Trump had not only confessed his interest in the princess, but also said that he “would have slept” with her if he had had such an opportunity.
