The prospect of Apple launching its own television has been a possibility since 2011, when Steve Jobs was still the company’s CEO. Now, says Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman that the idea is back on the table.
Gurman recalls that, in addition to Jobs considering the idea of launching a branded television, Apple even created prototypes of the product and ended up not launching this product after examining this market and realizing that consumers rarely purchase new models.
The idea became a possibility again in 2019 with the imminent arrival of Apple TV+ but, with Apple’s apparent bet on the market for home devices connected to the Internet, it seems that this prospect of an ‘Apple Company’ television has once again been considered. .
However, there is no guarantee that Apple will actually decide to move forward with the launch of this product, so we will have to continue waiting for news.
