The Boston Celtics won the title of North American basketball champions by beating the Dallas Mavericks 106-88 in the early hours of Tuesday, June 18. With this victory, the Celtics achieved a 4-1 record in the best-of-7 games of the NBA (National Basketball Association) Finals.
Basketball player Jayson Tatum, considered the star of the Celtics team, was instrumental in this result by recording a double-double of 31 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds.
The Boston Celtics have now won a title they haven’t won since 2008. This brings them to a total of 18 trophies in their history.
