Vulnerability Discovered in Millions of Android Phones

Qualcomm, the company responsible for the Snapdragon processors used in most cell phones on the market, confirmed this week that it had discovered a vulnerability in its chips.

Qualcomm notes that the vulnerability affects 64 of its processors integrated into millions of Android phones – including the Galaxy S22 Ultra, OnePlus 10 Pro, Oppo Find X5 Pro, Honor Magic 4 Pro, Xiaomi 12 and also the Sony Xperia 1 IV.

As reported by the GSMArena website, the company also took the opportunity to say that it has sent an update to the mobile device brands so that they can fix the problem.

In response, Amnesty International’s Security Lab said that the problem was serious and that more information about who could exploit this vulnerability would be revealed “soon”.
