One of the Men Wounded by a Shot at the Trump Rally Was Released from Hospital

Dutch was shot in the chest and liver and was initially in a medically induced coma following the shooting.

One of the two men who were shot and injured in the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump has been released from hospital.

According to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, cited by ABC News, David Dutch, 57, was discharged on Wednesday.

Dutch, a former Marine who serves as commander of his Marine Corps League detachment, was shot in the chest and liver and was initially in a medically induced coma following the shooting, the organization revealed.

“David and our entire family are especially grateful to all of the first responders and medical professionals who saved his life, including the trauma surgery teams. We also offer our deepest condolences and prayers to the other victims of this tragic event and their families,” the family said in a statement last week.

It is recalled that two people died in the shooting, including the shooter, as revealed by the district attorney of Butler County, Pennsylvania. The second fatal victim is one of the participants in the rally.

According to an update from authorities, cited by CNN Internacional this Sunday, in addition to the fatalities, two people were seriously injured.

The shooting at Trump’s rally is now, according to the FBI, being investigated as an attempted assassination of the former US president.
