Texas Mother Faces Capital Murder Charges in Fatal Shooting of Her Sons

Early Thursday, October 1, Colleen Nichole Lemmon, 42, called 911 from her home in the 900 block of Big Sky Drive. Deputies found her 21-year-old son Christopher Scott Pitre dead at the scene and 15-year-old Brian Pitre critically injured; he later died at a hospital. Lemmon, who had non-life-threatening injuries, admitted to the shootings and faces two counts of capital murder, with investigators citing corroborating evidence. The boys’ father, Scott Pitre, seeks justice amid the community’s shock, as no motive has been released.
