Jeanine John Taele, 38, a decorated Marine veteran from Downey, California, was arrested July 31 at Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles ahead of Donald Trump’s visit. Authorities found 208 pages of notebooks in his home sketching golf courses, listing agents, and copying Melania Trump’s daily plans, along with weapons and body armor. A judge called the allegations alarming and ruled Taele mentally unfit for trial, moving the case to mental health court amid federal and state charges; the discovery raised questions about possible security leaks.
