At least eight Lebanese firefighters were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a fire station in a southern town bordering Israel, a local official told France-Presse.
“An Israeli attack hit the Baraachit fire station overnight, where ten firefighters were (…) eight bodies have been pulled from the rubble so far,” said Reda Achour, a local official.
Since the start of the clashes between Israel and Hezbollah in October 2023, more than 115 members of rescue teams and firefighters have been killed, according to a report by France Presse based on official Lebanese data.
