Young Woman Films Her Own Death While Recording Video For Friend

The tragic death of a 24-year-old woman at the end of September has shaken Georgia, a country in the far east of Europe. Arina Glazunova, a native of Moscow, Russia, fell headfirst at the entrance to a metro station while recording a video with a friend. The whole tragic event was recorded and the video went viral on social media.

In the images, it can be seen that the victim didn’t notice the space on the public road, which doesn’t have adequate signage, and plummeted from a height of 5 meters. The video taken by the young woman herself went viral on social media, and a small memorial was created at the site.

The incident happened in the city of Tiblissi, Georgia’s capital, near First Republic Square. There, Arina was walking with a friend singing the song “For the Last Time”, while laughing and recording each other.

Suddenly, Glazunova took out her cell phone and started filming her friend, but after a few steps, she fell into a hole in a subway entrance without realizing it. The fall caused serious head injuries due to the impact with the ground.

The young woman was rescued

Her friend immediately called the emergency services and the young woman was rushed to hospital, where she arrived in critical condition, according to local media RU63 and Mtavari. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, Glazunova died as a result of a fracture to the base of her skull.

After the incident, the park was closed to the public, and criticism arose against the lack of signage at the metro station. In addition, a small monument with flowers and dedications was erected at the site of the tragedy.
