Xi And Putin Together? Trump Says They’re Gathering To “Do Damage”

Former US President Donald Trump has accused the presidents of China and Russia of being together to “cause damage”.

“President Xi [Jinping] of China, I know him well, President Putin of Russia, I know him well, are right now together working on plans in which they get together and cause damage,” said the candidate for this year’s US presidential elections on Thursday, quoted by The Guardian.

Trump added that, “ultimately, that’s what they’re planning to do, damage”.

What’s more, the former US leader accused Xi Jinping of “totally” expecting the takeover of Taiwan. “He made that statement today. It’s an important statement,” he said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin traveled to China to meet with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, and together they promised a “new era” in their appearance on Thursday, the first day of this official visit.

“The China-Russia relationship today has been hard-won and the two sides need to cherish and nurture it,” Xi told Putin, quoted by Reuters. “The development and rejuvenation of their respective countries” and working together to “uphold fairness and justice in the world” were the promises made by the two political leaders at a time of great global instability.
