A house party in Chicago, United States, ended in tragedy after eight people were shot on Monday. Three of the victims ended up dying.
The alert for the incident came at 2:10 pm local time (8:10 pm in Lisbon), according to Chicago Police Chief Jon Hein.
Authorities reveal that the victims of the shooting were four men and four women, between 20 and 35 years old.
A 26-year-old man and two other men, whose ages were not known, were pronounced dead at the scene. A 27-year-old woman shot in the head was taken to hospital in critical condition. Another woman, aged 24, was also taken to hospital after being shot six times, in serious condition.
The other three injured, two men aged 31 and 25, and a woman, aged 21, are out of danger and in good condition.
A neighbor, El Towers, cited by The Independent, reveals that parties on the property where everything happened are frequent and the police indicate that this was not the first time they were called to the scene.
El Towers also claims that he heard at least ten gunshots in the house followed by people running away screaming.
“We will solve this crime and find those responsible for this heinous and terrible incident,” assured Jon Hein.
