Fetishes are very common, everyone has them, but not everyone is willing to talk about them. When it comes to sex, fantasies are still taboo, but a new study has revealed the most popular fetishes. And experts explain what each one consists of. The study was based on Google searches carried out on US soil.
1 – Foot fetish
In first place, with a monthly average of 76,125 searches, is the foot fetish. According to experts at Bedbible, those who have this fantasy are sexually interested in feet. In other words, people who can get turned on by looking at, touching or smelling feet. Or even just fantasizing about them. The correct term is podophilia and it has been gaining a lot of popularity over the last few years.
2 – Crying fetish
It goes by the scientific name of dacryphilia and the number of searches on Google is 29,973 per month. These are people who have sexual urges based on tears or sobs.
3 – Monster fetish
It’s called teratophilia and the number of monthly searches is 22,556. These people are sexually attracted to monsters. As a result, they tend to enjoy being dominated by monsters. This can be done by watching horror movies or asking their partner to dress up as a monster.
4 – Food fetish
11,316 monthly searches on feederism. People with feederism get sexual pleasure from anything to do with food. For example, eating, eating a lot or gaining weight. Some people get pleasure from what their partner eats.
5 – Criminal fetish
The last place in the top five is occupied by hybridophilia, which is popularly known as criminal fetish and whose monthly searches are 11,060. These are people who take pleasure in crimes of sexual interest.
Bedbible’s experts warn that fetishes vary from person to person. They should always be discussed with their partner in order to understand each other’s limits and what they both want to put into practice.
