Seven people were arrested today following investigations and searches by the Belgian Federal Judicial Police on suspicion of terrorism, the Belgian Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office announced.
According to the Belgian press, 14 searches were carried out in various cities across the country, including Antwerp, 50 kilometres north of Brussels and the world’s largest diamond warehouse.
The search resulted in the arrest of seven suspects.
