Salah’s Future Is The Talk Of The Town: “look At Cristiano Ronaldo…”

Vladimir Smicer, the former Czech international, advised ‘his’ Liverpool (the club he represented between 1999 and 2005) not to stand in the way of the departure of Mohamed Salah, a player who continues to be linked with Saudi Arabia.

“It’s a very complicated situation with Mohamed Salah, he may be getting older, but he’s still Liverpool’s best striker, scoring lots of goals and breaking records,” said the former midfielder, who during his career also played for Lens, Bordeaux and Slavia Prague.

“Of course the new manager [Arne Slot] is coming in and it’s going to be a complicated decision, but he deserves a lot of respect for what he’s done for Liverpool. I would let him decide what he wants to do this summer. Never force him out of Anfield,” he told OLBG.

“He has another year left on his contract, so the important thing is to see what his plans are. Physically, it looks like he can play for another three or four years. Look at [Cristiano] Ronaldo, he’s still playing at 39 and he hasn’t lost his legs. Salah could do the same,” he added.
