An interruption of a game due to an animal’s invasion is something that, although rare, is not unheard of in the world of sport, but the images that are circulating of an MLS match in the United States of America, with a raccoon (yes, you read that right) entering the scene, have caused a lot of talk.
It was the 21st minute of the match between the Philadelphia Union and New York City (1-2), in the early hours of Thursday morning, when the animal decided to cross the entire pitch, causing a stoppage of around three minutes while it didn’t leave the field of play.
