Sony’s PlayStation 5 sold five times more than Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Series S during the first quarter of 2024, says analyst Daniel Ahmad of Niko Partners on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
“The PlayStation 5 sold 4.5 million units last quarter. According to our estimates, this is almost five times more than the Xbox Series X|S in the same period,” notes Ahmad.
The analyst also mentions in another publication that the total difference between the two platforms is not so noticeable in total, stating that in the first quarter it has widened “significantly”.
