Opera With Relationships On Stage And “Nuns” As They Came Into The World Ends With Audience Receiving Medical Care

Opera that is causing controversy leaves audience needing to receive medical attention due to what happens on stage.

Going to see an opera will be associated with many things, but certainly not with the fact that 18 people need medical assistance. And we’re not talking about just any incident among the public. It’s really due to what happened on stage. Something that happened at the Stuttgart State Opera in Germany. But truth be told, we’re not talking about just any show.

According to information released by Euronews, several people required medium assistance for nausea, dizziness and even fainting. All because of a show that has ingredients that are not for everyone. After all, there were naked “nuns” on stage and unstimulated sex was taking place. Added to this are live piercings and a generous amount of real and fake blood.

Original piece is from 1921

As a result, eight people needed treatment after last Saturday’s performance. The same thing happened to another dozen spectators on Sunday. Sebastian Ebling mentions this, talking about the performances of Sancta, a work by Austrian choreographer Florentina Holzinger.

Crucifixes swallowed on stage

The show is a radical feminist reinterpretation of the work Sancta Susanna, created in 1921 by the German Paul Hindemith. The protagonist of the plot is a young nun who has sex with Jesus Christ. If you’ve been left open-mouthed by what we’ve mentioned so far, you should also know that there are things like swallowing crucifixes on stage. Additionally, a woman with dwarfism, dressed as the Pope, is lifted and rotated using a robot arm. Another sings songs by rapper Eminem while dressed as Jesus Christ.
