The Information is reporting that Meta is developing its own AI-powered search engine.
The publication says the goal of the project is to reduce the company’s dependence on rivals like Google and Microsoft, which have the two most widely used search engines on the market.
As yet unknown about the project, the search engine would be able to create AI-generated search summaries of current events.
