When Nelson Mandela was on a state visit to Holland in 1999, he invited Benni McCarthy and Aaron Mokoena to spend a day with him. McCarthy and Mokoena were on the books of Ajax Amsterdam. They went on a boat trip with Mandela, his wife Graca and the legendary Ruud Gullitt.
