Geovany Quenda has been one of Sporting’s main names this season and it was precisely to protect himself from the interest of the European ‘sharks’ that the Lions protected him with a 100 million euro release clause in September, which ties the youngster to Alvalade until 2027.
However, the amount did not scare Manchester United and, according to the newspaper A Bola, the Red Devils have already made an inquiry with Sporting, in order to understand how much it would cost to sign the winger.
The media outlet in question states that the interest of several clubs in Quenda was already known, although Manchester United has taken the first step in relation to the other candidates.
It is worth remembering that the 17-year-old winger has already played 12 games this season and was only absent from the starting line-up against Estoril and Casa Pia. Last September he was also called up to the national team by Roberto MartÃnez, although he did not play a single minute.
