The league title won by Real Madrid on Saturday allowed Carlo Ancelotti to overtake José Mourinho in the list of the most successful managers in soccer history.
The Italian coach now has 27 titles to his name (12 of them with the Merengues), leaving behind the experienced Portuguese coach with 26, four of which have come at the helm of the Santiago Bernabéu, as well as Luíz Felipe Scolari, Jock Stein and Ottmar Hitzfelds.
Carlo Ancelotti also has Valery Lobanovsky (29), Mircea Lucescu (32), Pep Guardiola (35) and Alex Ferguson (48) ahead of him, and Real Madrid could yet win another Champions League this season.
