A Portuguese man held hostage by Hamas in Gaza since the October 7th attack is dead. The information was released by the Israeli government on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
“It is with great regret that we announce that Dror Or, kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, has been confirmed as having been murdered and that his body is in Gaza,” it read.
Or’s wife, Yonat, died in the initial attack and two of their three children, Noam and Alma, aged 17 and 13, were kidnapped and later released on November 25, as part of a ceasefire and hostage-for-prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and Hamas, reports The Guardian.
