“The Royal Oman Police attended the scene of a shooting that took place near a mosque in the Al-Wadi al-Kabir area,” in the east of the capital, the police said in a statement.
“All security measures and procedures were taken to deal with the situation and the authorities are continuing to collect evidence and conduct investigations to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident,” it said in a statement published on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
