On October 4, 2020, two armed men forced their way into Pacheco’s northwest Miami-Dade home, ambushing a friend in the driveway and ordering her husband, young son, and others to the floor at gunpoint. The 26-year-old rushed out armed, exchanged fire with the intruders who shot six or seven times but missed, and they fled with watches and jewelry after her husband fired after their vehicle. No one was hurt despite bullet holes in doors, a headboard, and TV; Pacheco later shared her instinct was simply to protect her family, saying fear didn’t factor in.
