The manager of the Casasur Palermo hotel who called 112 moments before Liam Payne fell to his death is now being charged, as a source revealed to Page Six.
Esteban Reynaldo Grassi joins Gilda Agustina MartÃn, operations manager at the same hotel, who is also involved in the process of the singer’s death, after the judge assigned to the case evaluated his behavior at the time of the tragedy.
The judge requested that both parties be notified of the charges, although it is unclear what they are being accused of.
“As there is sufficient reason to suspect that they participated in the act under investigation, we have asked the following individuals to provide a statement,” read the documents obtained by Rolling Stone on Tuesday.
According to the documents, MartÃn and Grassi will have to appear in court on December 19th.
In addition to these, Braian Nahuel Paiz and Uriel Alejandro Astengo, also hotel employees, are scheduled to appear in court on December 17, as they were accused of supplying drugs to Liam Payne, who was known to struggle with addiction.
The singer’s friend, Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores, is also expected to appear in court the following day on charges of abandonment of a person followed by death.
According to the Buenos Aires legal system, after interrogation, the judge must determine whether the accused will be prosecuted, removed from the case, or if there is no evidence for either decision.
