For those frustrated voters who threatened to leave the United States after Donald Trump’s election victory, an American cruise line has come up with a suggestion that guarantees an escape for four years, without having to move country.
Villa Vie Residences, which specializes in long journeys – the company was behind a 3.5-year cruise for remote workers – has announced the Odyssey cruise, with a four-year travel package called “Skip Forward”, which will dock in 140 countries.
If the idea of committing to a four-year cruise seems a bit much, you can opt for the “Escape from Reality” packages, a one-year journey, “Mid-Term Selection”, a two-year trip, or “Everywhere But Home”, a three-year cruise.
Prices for life at sea start at US$40,000 per year. Single cabins for the full four years cost US$ 256,000 (almost R$ 1.5 million), and double cabins are priced at US$ 320,000 (R$ 1.85 million) for two people to make the trip for the entire period.
