Liam Payne’s death on October 16 after falling from the balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires continues to reverberate in the international press. According to information from TMZ, in an article published this Tuesday (26), a new report indicates that the artist was trying to escape from the room through the balcony when he fell and died.
In addition, the new police report indicates that a black New York Yankees cap and a Louis Vuitton bag were found next to the singer’s body.
Security images obtained previously show that the artist was not carrying these items, that is, he put them on when he entered the room for the last time.
Also according to the report obtained by TMZ, an employee found a brown leather bag on the balcony of the hotel room on the floor below Payne’s. Next to the bag was a note saying “For Liam”, and accompanied by several pills and a bottle of Jack Daniel’s.
In light of this, the report indicates that it is assumed that the bag belonged to the former One Direction member, who apparently dropped it from the second floor while trying to escape. It is also inferred that he intended to jump to the second floor balcony before descending again.
However, Payne is said to have lost consciousness and fallen from the third floor. It is already known that he was unconscious during the fall from the balcony, as the position in which the body was found indicates that Liam did not try to protect himself during the fall. These points reinforce the hypothesis that the death was an accident.
