Kyiv Says Three Russian Drones Entered Romania

Kiev authorities indicated today that three Russian drones not intercepted by the Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense system entered Romanian territory.

In total, “around 40 drones” were projected by Russia against Ukraine during the night, 25 of which were shot down by defense systems.

“Three ‘Shaed’ (Iranian-made device) were lost and entered the borders of Romania,” the Ukrainian Air Force said today via social media.

So far, neither Russia nor Romania have commented on the incident.

Romania is a member of the European Union and the Atlantic Alliance.

According to Ukraine, the Iranian-made projectiles were launched against several regions of the country, namely areas in Odessa, Kherson, Kiev and Sumi.
