Operation Finds Knives Buried in Copacabana Sands Before Madonna Show

The Public Order Department (Seop) carried out Operation Tatuí in the early hours of Friday morning (03/05) on Copacabana Beach, with the aim of finding materials and products buried and hidden in the sand. The actions are being carried out for the Madonna concert, which takes place this Saturday (04/05).

In the area, the agents found 3 knives, 1 frying pan, pots and pans, 32 water bottles and 70 coconuts. They also removed 4 tons of waste. The operation involved around 50 agents and had the support of the Military Police, the Municipal Guard and Comlurb.

1.5 million people are expected to attend the pop diva’s show.
