Bosh Security Systems S.A. is the winner of the Healthy Workplaces award in the large organizations category. The company awarded first place in the medium-sized companies category is Hewlett Packard Portugal Lda.
Among micro and small companies, first place goes to Associação Desportiva e Recreativa Centro Cultural e Social da Quinta de São Pedro.
In total, 111 organizations competed for these awards granted by the Order of Psychologists (OPP) with the aim of recognizing Portuguese organizations with management practices that promote safety, well-being and health in the workplace.
According to a statement from the OPP to Notícias ao Minuto, among the large organizations, Cascais City Council won the second prize and the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo the third. In the category of medium organizations, second place was given to ETAP – Escola Tecnológica, Artística e Profissional de Pombal and third to InterContinental Lisbon.
Among small organizations, CASA MAIOR, Residências Geriátricas occupied the second position and BESTURBAN Real Estate Advisors was in
third place.
The initiative is a contribution from the OPP to encourage and disseminate the best guidelines and practices with regard to occupational health. It is part of a partnership with ACT (Working Conditions Authority) and EU-OSHA (European Agency for Safety and Health at Work).
The expectation, the letter states, is that the selected projects can be replicated or serve as an example and incentive for good practices to be replicated by other companies/organizations.
This is the fifth edition of the award from the Order of Portuguese Psychologists, which
aims to recognize and distinguish national organizations with management practices that promote safety, well-being and health in the workplace. Healthy Workplaces – Healthy Workplaces 2024 also has the High Patronage of the President of the Republic and the Ministries of Health and Labor, Solidarity and Social Security.
