The future of Ángel Di María continues to be the talk of the town and this Thursday the Mexican press said that América has not given up on its intention to sign the Argentine star whose contract with Benfica ends at the end of this season.
TV Azeteca even writes that the Mexican club also wants to sign Di María for the media aspect and would be willing to pay an annual salary of over three million euros, an amount, however, lower than what the Argentine currently receives at Benfica (over seven million euros).
Despite the substantial difference in salary, América is confident that the project presented could convince Di María to accept heading to Mexico and join current championship stars Sergio Ramos, James Rodríguez, André-Pierre Gignac and Chicharito Hernández.
It should be remembered that Di María is in his second season back at Benfica, and is currently out of Bruno Lage’s options due to injury.
