Trump Expected to Be Named Time Magazine’s ‘Person of the Year’

The president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, should be chosen ‘Person of the Year’ by Time magazine, says Politico.

Citing three people familiar with the matter, Politico writes that to celebrate the cover reveal, Trump will ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday.

In 2016, the Republican had also been elected by Time as ‘Person of the Year’, after winning the face-to-face elections that gave him his first mandate as head of state.

Last year, it is worth remembering, the distinction went to singer Taylor Swift.

The list of candidates was announced Monday on NBC’s ‘The Today Show’ and includes Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris, Kate Middleton, Elon Musk and Benjamin Netanyahu.

This year’s selection will be announced today, December 12th.
