Intel’s Future Could Be A Merger With Rival AMD

The website Semafor is reporting that AMD and Intel may merge in the future, a hypothesis that apparently has the support of the US government.

Intel’s most recent quarterly financial results indicate that the company’s profit margin fell by 6,064.76% and, with the US government considering the chip company too important to fail, it is reportedly urging the company to look for alternatives.

These alternatives are apparently a merger with Marvell or rival AMD, with the US merely wanting to guarantee Intel’s production capacity in order to rival Taiwan’s TSMC and a growing chip manufacturing industry in China.
