The attack happened around 6:09pm Saturday at the Riverside Walk Taco Bell in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, where witness David Lane saw the group rush past staff amid screams from the toilets. Lane pressed napkins to the boy’s wounds to stem the bleeding as an air ambulance rushed him to hospital. Police arrested two teenage boys for assault and knife possession, added stop-and-search powers, and boosted patrols amid concerns over youth violence.
