An old video showing socialite Matshidiso Matilda dancing alongside Skeem Saam actor Clement Maosa has resurfaced online, adding another layer to the controversy surrounding her personal life.
Matshidiso has dominated social-media discussions following the circulation of an alleged private video reportedly involving dancer Limpopo Boy. As public interest in the scandal intensified, online users began searching through her previous appearances and unearthed footage from an earlier social gathering.
In the clip, which resurfaced on 9 August 2026, an enthusiastic Matshidiso introduces Maosa to the camera before announcing that they are going to dance together. The actor responds playfully and encourages her to show off some dance moves.
Matshidiso then turns around and briefly dances for him while those around them react to the light-hearted moment. She is seen wearing an all-black Nike outfit consisting of biker shorts and a cropped top.
Although the video appears to have been recorded in a playful social setting, its resurfacing during the Limpopo Boy controversy has caused viewers to interpret it differently. Some social-media users argued that her conduct was inappropriate for a married woman, while others said the short clip had been taken out of context.
Much of the criticism was unexpectedly directed at Matshidiso’s husband, Kevin Shai. Several commenters claimed that he should have recognised what they described as warning signs before marrying her.
One user wrote:
“No, guys, you can’t wife someone like this. I blame the husband.”Another questioned why a married woman would dress and dance that way publicly, suggesting that being an understanding partner could leave someone vulnerable to embarrassment.
Other users rejected that argument, pointing out that Kevin should not be blamed for his wife’s alleged conduct. They said responsibility should remain with the person accused of crossing the boundaries of the marriage.
One particularly controversial claim suggested that Matshidiso sometimes wore a glove during social outings to conceal her wedding ring. However, no credible evidence was presented to prove that allegation.
Maosa has not been accused of wrongdoing in connection with the resurfaced footage. The video appears to show him participating in a spontaneous and playful moment at an event, long before it became attached to the current controversy.
The renewed attention surrounding Matshidiso has also brought back another old clip featuring her and viral entertainer Skomota. That footage similarly divided social-media users, with some saying her husband should have noticed the alleged warning signs, while others defended him against public ridicule.
As the scandal continues to grip the internet, Matshidiso’s past videos are increasingly being scrutinised through the lens of the allegations now surrounding her. However, isolated social-media clips do not necessarily reveal the full circumstances in which they were recorded.
Neither Matshidiso nor Kevin has publicly provided a detailed account addressing every claim being circulated online. The alleged private footage and related accusations should therefore be treated cautiously, particularly because sharing intimate material without consent can cause serious harm and may carry legal consequences.
