Everything indicates that Apple will only announce the second generation of AirTags in 2025 but, according to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, those interested should prepare to continue replacing the batteries in these small trackers.
Gurman comments that the second generation of AirTags will not have rechargeable batteries, a new feature that many expected to be announced but which, apparently, will continue to be a distant prospect.
However, it is believed that Apple will increase the range of AirTags so that they are detectable by the iPhone at a distance of up to 120 meters.
