Grammy-winning Fugees rapper PrasMichel was sentenced to 14 years in prison for illegally funnelling foreign money into Former President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign.

Prosecutors say he took over $120 million from Malaysian billionaire Jho Low, used straw donors to move the money, and later tried to halt a DOJ investigation into Low. 

Michel also tampered with witnesses and lied under oath, which prosecutors said showed he “betrayed his country for money.”
