After her remarkable performance last Saturday (4) at a free concert on the iconic Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro, Madonna, at the age of 65, surprised us by leaving a gesture of solidarity in the midst of the tragedy that has struck Rio Grande do Sul. According to information obtained by Erlan Bastos’ column EM OFF, the renowned international singer made an impact donation to the Brazilian state, which has been seriously affected by severe storms and flooding.

The donation, which amounts to R$10 million, represents significant support for the efforts to recover and assist the victims of the floods. According to sources close to the columnist, Madonna decided to keep the donation a secret, demonstrating her genuine concern for the situation faced by the residents of Rio Grande do Sul.
While the state is facing one of the worst natural tragedies in its history, the figures released by the Civil Defense on Monday morning (6) reveal the magnitude of the disaster. The total of 83 fatalities already confirmed by the floods, added to the agonizing search for 111 missing people and the record of 276 injured, highlights the urgency of the relief and reconstruction efforts.

Faced with this challenging scenario, several Brazilian artists have mobilized on behalf of the victims, showing solidarity and promoting aid initiatives. Names such as Anitta, Virginia Fonseca, Whindersson Nunes, LuÃsa Sonza, Pedro Scooby, among others, have joined forces in solidarity campaigns ranging from financial donations to benefit concerts.
