Some say that part of the success of ‘Baby Reindeer’ is due to the performance – and beauty – of Nava Mau, the transgender actress who plays the character Terri, with whom the story’s protagonist falls in love.
The series is already one of the most watched at the moment in several countries and tells part of the story of Donny, played by Richard Gadd. What many people don’t know is that ‘Baby Reindeer’ is, in fact, an account of the episodes of stalking and sexual abuse that the actor himself experienced.
Terri ends up being Donny’s ‘safe haven’ in the series, even though she finds herself caught up in the ‘web of events’ that is told to us over the course of the seven episodes.
Behind Terri is Nava Mau, the 32-year-old transgender actress who was born in Mexico City. She is also an activist and has a degree in Linguistics and Cognitive Sciences.
She now has 144,000 followers on social media, a number that has increased with the notoriety she has gained through the Netflix series. As well as sharing various professional achievements with her followers, Nava also posts photos of herself, some of which are very daring, as you can see in the gallery.
