Lee Sharpe, a former English international who, throughout his career, spent time at clubs such as Manchester United and Sampdoria, said this Tuesday that he believes that Mohamed Salah’s near future will pass through Saudi Arabia.
The Egyptian international ends his contract with Liverpool in June of next year, 2025, and has already publicly confessed that he is “more out than in”, so, in the former striker’s opinion, the conditions are met to continue the journey towards the Middle East… and ‘overshadow’ Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I can only imagine that Mohamed Salah will go to Saudi Arabia, as I don’t think anyone else will be able to afford him. There is also no club in Europe that is bigger, that has more fans and where the atmosphere is the same,” He began by stating.
“He’s not going to Manchester United, that’s for sure! He’ll probably just want to secure his future and have an easier life in Saudi Arabia. If he went there, he’d be the greatest player in the Saudi Arabian league,” continued.
“He remains young and fit enough to dominate. We see Cristiano Ronaldo doing well there, but I think Salah is a better player and a bigger name than him nowadays”, he added, in statements provided to the bookmaker British Racing Tipster.
