How to Make Chicken Wings with Teriyaki Sauce in the Air Fryer

Do you like using the air fryer for all kinds of recipes? It’s high time you made these chicken wings with teriyaki sauce. It’s a simple and delicious recipe from BBC Good Food. 

Ingredients: 

2 tablespoons rice flour

900 g chicken wings 

4 tablespoons soy sauce

2 grated garlic cloves

10 g peeled and grated ginger

4 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon corn flour

1 lime, grated and squeezed

2 spring onions, sliced 

1 chili pepper cut into thin slices

Pak choi and cooked jasmine rice to serve (optional)

Directions 

1- First turn on the air fryer to 220ºC. Line the basket with baking paper. Pour the rice flour into a large bowl, season and then coat the chicken wings in the flour. Make sure they are well coated and then spread them evenly over the air fryer basket. Cook in the air fryer for 15 minutes. 

2- While the chicken is cooking you can make the sauce. Place the soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sugar and 150 ml of water in a small saucepan over a medium heat. Cook for four to five minutes. Then remove two tablespoons and mix with the corn flour. Pour the corn flour mixture back into the sauce, stirring constantly, and cook for three minutes. Add the lime juice.

3- Brush the sauce on the chicken wings and put them back in the air fryer for 10 minutes.  

4- Remove from the air fryer and brush the chicken with the sauce again. Add the lime zest, spring onions and chilli. Serve with rice and pak choi.
