A woman whose purse was stolen in Miami, Florida, decided to chase the thief and get back what was hers.
In video surveillance footage, Miurell Vargas was seen crashing her car into the thief’s car. After this, the woman is seen going after the man and punching him several times in order, according to the witness herself, to get her bag back.
The suspect was identified as Luis Enrique Machado, 41. He was arrested and charged with robbery, criminal mischief and petty theft.
Miurell, meanwhile, was fined for intentionally causing the accident.
CBS News asked the woman why she reacted so fervently after the robbery. Miurell explained that her wallet contained a photograph of her mother, who died years ago, and that she wanted to get it back.
